Memorial Day Weekend

Posted by Victoria Chi on Tuesday, June 1, 2010
What a weekend! The weekend started off slow, and no different than any other weekend. After work on Friday I grabbed dinner with our friends Melou and Landon at Twisted Root, an amazing burger place. Melou and Landon have been engaged for four years and after Landon's graduation a couple weeks ago, they have decided to finally get married. It would be an understatement to say that Dalyce The BFF and I are excited, but we are. We have been working on getting Melou The BFF registered, planning...

I'm an extremist!

Posted by Victoria Chi on Wednesday, May 5, 2010
So, don't go thinking I am the jump off the cliff, live on the edge, type of extremist. That would be far from the truth. However, I don't think there is a gray area with me. Let me give you some examples to give you a better picture. When I eat healthy and work out, I become a gym rat and eat like a little rat as well. When I fall off that wagon, I move about as much as a tree trunk and eat like a crazed hog. When I clean, every detail has to be polished and sorted. When I am messy, I forget...

Chloe The Dog Breaks A Leg

Posted by Victoria Chi on Wednesday, January 27, 2010

What a day. What a day. It’s barely three and I am at a 9pm energy level. Unfortunately the reason is because I have been up pretty much all night. My beloved Chloe The Dog broke her little toothpick leg while leaping from my lap. Who does she think she is, Wonderdog? She was watching a bird outside last night when she was let out to potty, now that I think about it. Maybe she was just trying to fly. That little idiot. I called a few emergency clinics and they all told me if Chloe The Dog w...

The TV is on the wall!

Posted by Victoria Chi on Tuesday, January 19, 2010

It’s not like I didn’t get enough sleep last night, yet I am incredibly drained. My eyelashes feel like they have bags of sand on them right now. Maybe I am wearing too much mascara. I feel terribly unattractive today. I feel that my eyes are like puffy marshmallows. The tip of my nose is warm and I’m almost convinced there’s a sausage on my face. On top of that, I ate a lot last night so my entire body is bloated (notice I didn’t say the little 3-lettered F word…) So of course, t...

Sad Day, Happy Day!

Posted by Victoria Chi on Monday, January 18, 2010
Justin The Husband and I spent about three weeks of December traveling Taiwan and Singapore. We had an amazing time experiencing a lifestyle completely inverse of our own. Even though most may find some time on the other side of the planet, and away from home, a completely relaxing escape, I felt some form of uneasiness, probably best described as anxiety. I regularly logged on to my work computer to do catch-up work and to stay atop everything going on. Also, living out of a suitcase is only...

WOW. Boy does time fly.

Posted by Victoria Chi on Wednesday, October 21, 2009
I'm pooped! Justin The Husband and I just got back from a jog/walk and right before that we started Day 1 of our Wii Active 30-Day Challenge. I haven't worked out seriously in over half a year. So much has happened since Justin The Husband's birthday. I hope you don't mind if we work backwards, kind of.

This past weekend was our beloved sister Jessica and our new brother Derek's wedding in Marina del Rey, CA. There could not have been a more perfect wedding. There are so many relatives and fa...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HUBBY!

Posted by Victoria Chi on Thursday, September 3, 2009
Justin The Husband and I had such an amazing weekend. His birthday was actually Monday, but we both had Monday off so it worked out perfectly! With our Sunday/Monday weekend, we originally planned on taking a quick trip somewhere. A quick Las Vegas getaway, a trip south to Mexico, or even just to explore another major Texan city. The cheap packages to Vegas sold out as we were booking. I sent my passport in to get my name changed and couldn't go to Mexico nor Canada. We kept dragging and ende...

Partay Friday!

Posted by Victoria Chi on Friday, August 28, 2009
I get so excited when it's Friday. I really don't know why. I mean, it usually works out so that I do more fun stuff on days OTHER than Fridays. I'm sure the idea of Fridays was long ago embedded in my mind by my school days. Anyway... IT'S FRIDAY!!!!! Despite knowing today won't be all that exciting, I'm still really hyped up. I woke up early, I played with Chloe and washed her up, and I have time to write! I had a really amazing weekend. Justin The Husband and I went to the dog park, we wen...

My semi-busy but semi-unproductive day.

Posted by Victoria Chi on Thursday, August 20, 2009
It's Thursday. I have work for four more days before my next day off but I already feel like it should be my Friday. WHY?

For my lunch break today I wanted to go to the post office, get passport photos from Target, make it to a doctor's appointment and get my prescription filled. I know it was a little over-zealous of me. Of course I went to see my doctor and managed to squeeze in a Target run. But that was about it. Two months ago, I was recommended the Gardasil vaccine. I listened to the b...

Drowsiness

Posted by Victoria Chi on Wednesday, August 19, 2009
A couple days ago, I was over at Connie The Aunt's house and I accidentally let in a mosquito. I say A mosquito, when in reality there must have been closer to ten that snook in. How else would everyone in the house have gotten so many bites? I am allergic to insect bites, and this morning my left hand looked like someone blew into a doctor's rubber glove. No exaggerating! Justin The Husband suggested that I take some allergy medication and slather on some anti-itch cream. Little did I know h...
